My Training Experience

3 Months at Nitaq Technology Company
February โ€“ May 2025 | Jeddah

What this was about
During my training at Nitaq Technology Company, I gained in-depth experience that changed my understanding of IT operations. Over several months of practical experience, I had the opportunity to work on live systems and handle real business challenges, which deepened my technical expertise.

Itโ€™s one thing to study for CCNA or read about IT systems in textbooks. But applying that knowledge in actual business environments โ€“ where every configuration decision impacts a clientโ€™s daily operations โ€“ is what truly refined my skills and practical understanding.

I worked alongside seasoned engineers and contributed to various projects, learning through hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, system setup, and optimization.

What I actually worked on:

๐Ÿ”น 1. Windows Server 2019 Configuration

I helped set up and configure Windows Server 2019 for business clients, including tasks like setting up Active Directory, creating user accounts, and configuring Group Policy. I also worked with file sharing, DNS, and DHCP to ensure proper network functionality in real-world enterprise environments.

What I learned:

  • The critical role of DNS and DHCP in ensuring reliable network services.
  • The importance of network and user management in enterprise environments.
  • Active Directory configuration and its role in maintaining an organized and secure network.

๐Ÿ”น 2. PBX System Configuration โ€“ Yeastar P560

I assisted with setting up a Yeastar P560 PBX system for a clientโ€™s business communications. This included the physical setup, configuring extensions, and learning how call routing and VoIP protocols work.

  • How to prepare and test installation tools for quick system deployments or urgent troubleshooting.
  • The process for creating reliable installation media and verifying its functionality.

๐Ÿ”น 4. Business Email Setup and Security using abadawod.dev Domain

I set up a professional email system using my own domain, abadawod.dev, instead of standard email providers. This involved configuring DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM), choosing email hosting, and ensuring compatibility across different email clients.

What I learned:

  • The complexities of email infrastructure and the challenges of configuring it correctly.
  • The importance of DNS configuration for setting up professional email systems.
  • How to ensure email security and set up authentication protocols like SPF and DKIM.

๐Ÿ”น 5. Password Recovery and Account Access Management

What I learned:

  • How to use password recovery tools effectively while ensuring data integrity.
  • The importance of system security and ethical practices when handling password recovery.
  • How to manage password recovery requests professionally, ensuring compliance with company policies and protecting sensitive data.

๐Ÿ”น 5. FortiGate Firewall Configuration

I assisted in setting up FortiGate firewalls, ensuring the network was secure from external threats. This involved configuring firewall rules, testing network security, and applying security policies to safeguard client systems.
