Enterprise Network Lab — EVE-NG OSPF + AD

Project 06 — Enterprise Network Lab

Enterprise Network Lab — EVE-NG (Multi-Site OSPF + AD + DHCP)

A full enterprise network simulation built in EVE-NG on VMware Workstation, integrating CCNA, Windows Server, and AZ-104 concepts in a multi-site topology — simulating a corporate HQ and Branch Office with complete routing, segmentation, identity management, and dynamic IP allocation.

EVE-NG Lab Topology

Platform ► EVE-NG · VMware Workstation

Routing ► Multi-Area OSPF (R-HQ, R-WAN, R-Branch)

Segmentation ► VLAN 10 (IT) · VLAN 20 (HR) — HQ & Branch

Identity ► Windows Server 2019 · Active Directory domain: corp.local

DHCP ► 4 scopes serving all VLANs via relay

Key Features

Multi-area OSPF across 3 routers with full adjacency and inter-area route propagation. VLAN segmentation at both HQ and Branch sites with router-on-a-stick sub-interfaces for inter-VLAN routing. Windows Server 2019 with Active Directory and OUs structured by site and department: HQ/IT, HQ/HR, Branch/IT, Branch/HR. DHCP server with 4 scopes and relay configured across all VLANs. Successful domain join of client machines across sites.

Technologies ► EVE-NG · Cisco IOSv · Windows Server 2019 · Active Directory · OSPF (Multi-Area) · VLANs · DHCP · Router-on-a-Stick · VMware Workstation

Challenges & Skills

Combined networking and Windows Server skills in one integrated lab. Practiced multi-area OSPF configuration, VLAN trunking, DHCP relay, and Active Directory OU design — covering the breadth of a real enterprise infrastructure deployment.
